| Ian ShottPresident & Chief Executive OfficerExcelsyn founder and Chief Executive Officer Ian Shott has held senior executive positions in the international pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industries for over twenty years and has worked in the UK, France, Switzerland and U.S. Most recently, Ian was President of Rhodia ChiRex’s Manufacturing Division, having previously held posts at Lonza and Zeneca. He is Chairman of the Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences (CELS) and Chairman of the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation & Growth Team. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College. |
![]() | Paul RyanChief Financial OfficerPaul Ryan joined Excelsyn from Rhodia Pharma Solutions where he served as Financial Controller for their Custom Manufacturing & Intermediates Business Unit. Previously he was Finance Manager at McVitie's in Carlisle, England. A Chartered Accountant since 1990 with big four accounting experience, he is a graduate of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. |

Previously he held senior management roles within Great lakes Fine Chemicals division. He has a PhD in chemistry from the University of North Wales, Bangor. |

He had overall responsibility for the world’s largest single-site biopharmaceutical campus, overseeing 1200 staff and leveraging corporate investment in the areas of neurotherapeutics, mammalian expression and protein discovery. A Fellow of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland since 1984, he gained his BSc and PhD in Chemistry at University College, Galway. |
