 | Ian ShottPresident & Chief Executive OfficerExcelsyn founder and Chief Executive Officer Ian Shott has held senior executive positions in the international pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industries for over twenty years and has worked in the UK, France, Switzerland and U.S. Most recently, Ian was President of Rhodia ChiRex’s Manufacturing Division, having previously held posts at Lonza and Zeneca. He is Chairman of the Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences (CELS) and Chairman of the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation & Growth Team. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College. |
 | Paul RyanChief Financial OfficerPaul Ryan joined Excelsyn from Rhodia Pharma Solutions where he served as Financial Controller for their Custom Manufacturing & Intermediates Business Unit. Previously he was Finance Manager at McVitie's in Carlisle, England. A Chartered Accountant since 1990 with big four accounting experience, he is a graduate of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. |
 | David RowlesChief Operating OfficerDavid Rowles leads operations at our Holywell site. He has more than 20 years experience in drug development and manufacturing. Previously he held senior management roles within Great lakes Fine Chemicals division. He has a PhD in chemistry from the University of North Wales, Bangor. |
| Mark ChadwickVice President, Business DevelopmentMark has over 10 years experience within and serving the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors and has closed many substantial product, service and licensing deals (£seven figures). Since joining Excelsyn in May 2005 until November 2007, Mark grew the Development Services business of Excelsyn from scratch to £3m turnover p/a and grew the customer base to over 50 wordwide. He is now responsible for growing sales across Excelsyn. Mark is a former Senior Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He holds a BSc in Genetics from the University of Nottingham, a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Newcastle and an MBA in entrepreneurship from Imperial College, London. |
 | Gareth JenkinsVice President, Research & DevelopmentGareth is responsible for the strategic development, leadership and accountability of the process research and development division and the site quality team. Gareth has over 12 years of technical and commercial experience in the sector, spanning custom synthesis, process development, small scale manufacture and Good Manufacturing Practice. He is chairman of the Speciality Chemicals Sector of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Gareth holds BSc and PhD chemistry degrees from Imperial College London and an MBA from Manchester University. |
| Mark MilliganFinancial ControllerMark has responsibility for finance and accounts at the Holywell site. He has over 20 years experience of managing the accounts of profitable international companies. |
 | David ParryNew Product Introductions ManagerDave is responsible for the effective introduction and delivery of new manufacturing opportunities, through the management of the NPI Team. He has over 25 years of successful development and scale-up of small molecule manufacture. He has an RSC awarded degree in chemistry, and is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC). Dave is a board member of Britest Limited. |
 | David ShepherdVice President OperationsDavid has Overall responsibility for OTIF (on time in full) delivery of plant production campaigns and SHE. For over 20 years he has delivered effective production through deployment of manufacturing excellence. he is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. He holds an MEng degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Process Business Management from the University of Warwick. |
